Hindulegends.com aims to be a handy guide to Indian mythology for the curious.

Hinduism, like any other religion has vast layers of events and occurrences, ranging from beginning of the universe till a few thousand years ago, and including the future. And the less we know, the more we imagine. This project prevents you from assuming Hindu mythology, by knowing it.

Patience, time and often linguistic limitations prevent us from getting the best out of our scriptures like Bhagwad Gita, Ramayana, Bhagwad Purana and Mahabharata, let alone Vedas and Upanishads. Our knowledge of Gods, demigods, saints, warriors, demons and ascetics is superficial and opinionated, often inaccurate.

This project aims to spread awareness on such characters, scriptures and occurrences that are fictional by some accounts and divine by others. Also, we will explain the science, logic and rationale of various Hindu and Indian customs and traditions that we’ve grown up with and hence never questioned why they exist.

The purpose of HinduLegends.com is to spread awareness pertaining to Hindu religion and its mythical legends. Please note that hindulegends.com is not religious in nature and does not seek to promote Hinduism. In fact, we hold all religion in equal regards and aim to eventually explore them too and bring forth the insights.

For more updates and insights on the religion, you can reach us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. If you have a suggestion, feedback or correction, write to us on hindulegends@gmail.com
